“Be You! Speak Honestly, Express Authentically, Create Purposefully”

Darwin states, “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”

We live in a world of constant pressure to obey socially acceptable ways of feeling, thinking, behaving and appearing. This pressure to obey interrupts and entangles the connection with our true selves.

Through our work together you will reconnect with your inner self. You will walk in the world each day and “Be You!”

Starting at birth we refine the skills to adsorb and adapt to the pressures we feel from the family, the friends we make and the partners we select. As children, to survive we often sacrifice and surrender our voices, and hide our emotions. We forgo creating a life that resonates with who we are. As adults the sacrifice damages us. It keeps us from finding love, happiness, abundance, and a sense of purpose.

You CAN find your voice. You CAN discover what it means to “Be You”; by learning to speak honestly, express authentically, and create purposefully.

Short History

“Be you, Daddy!” This is what my daughter and wife say to me when I leave home. It is a simple statement that resonates with my core value of being true to me.

I became aware of this statement in college when I was one of three individuals asserting to the faculty about the impact of the academic support center on my success as a student. I remember the student who spoke before me vividly compared his academic success to that of a child completing the journey through natural childbirth. My initial reaction was shock. I became concerned to follow his speech. Suddenly I realized that he was just being honest and authentic. He spoke his truth and was not concerned about how others perceived him. It was the first time I recognized the difference between being yourself and being who you are expected to be.

After college I became a High School Biology Teacher. I loved teaching and loved interacting with the students. I wanted to create a teaching experience where students felt heard, understood, and empowered to succeed academically and personally.

As time passed my curiosity for personal growth stretched beyond academia. I decided to resign from teaching after eight successful years. I obtained a master’s degree in counseling and changed careers. I didn’t know it then, but that decision allowed me to understand, embrace, and incorporate the statement “Be You!” into my life.
